I bought My.Agenda and added the full set of in-app purchases so believed it would work with the desktop client, but it doesn’t appear to connect. Both on same wi-fi network, security protocols set to allow for incoming connection from the app, setting enabled in the app — what else do I need to do to make this work?

A common mistake is to slide the enable AirAccess control to the “ON” position in “My Settings” and then tap the back button and forget to tap the “Save” button. Would you mind verifying that the setting in “My Settings” for “Enable AirAccess” is set to “ON”?

I purchased the shopping app thinking it would simplify making a grocery list however, it is so lacking Why are there no categories nor sub cat agonies? A grocery shopping list has to be manually typed in, I find this program a waste of money, it falls way behind other products on the market! Are there plans to make the shopping more user friendly?

We continuously strive to improve the usability of our apps with the great feedback we get from our engaged users such as yourself. So we gladly welcome any feedback and suggestions you may have to help us improve the product.
If you wish to seperately manage your products and sellers to be used later in shopping items you can do so by tapping on the “Configure Products” or “Configure Sellers” tiles in the shopping view. You can assign a category to each product/seller from here. From the shopping list detail you can group the shopping items by these categories.
When viewing a shopping item’s detail you can also set the product’s category by tapping on the “Product” field and then setting its category.
You can also manage categories for products by going to “Settings” –> “Manage Categories” –> “Products”.
You only have to type in the name of a shopping item if the shopping item does not already exist. If the item exist you can pick it from the list of existing items.
I have recently installed Life Topix.
It was working fine but has now started malfunctioning on my ipad.
Whenever I try and change a task status to completed it throws me out of the app.
It is functioning perfectly well on my iPhone but the app. Is not syncing between the two — despite icloud backup being enabled.

Why is the response so slow? Between finishing one thing like a deletion, and waiting for it to happen, there is so much time that I think I did not tap it in just the right place. Therefore I try again and make something unexpected happen, inadvertently.
Also, it is not quite clear to me what the difference is between service, service provider, person, or any category for them. The intended relationship between those items is what I am looking for because I may not see it the same way as you. What complicates the issue even more is that there is no coordination between different parts of the program like the back button either does not work (may be I don’t wait long enough?) or it brings me back all the way vs. only to the previous screen.
We are currently working to improve the performance of several views in LifeTopix. Which areas are you seeing the most lag in?
A service can be something like gardening, plumbing or auto repair. A service provider can be something like “XYZ Landscaping Company”, “Joe the plumber”, or “Jack’s Auto Repair”. A service provider has information such as a reference field, ratings field and online information field. A person is simply a contact and can be made an owner of a task, a companion on a trip, an invitee to an event, etc. Categories are used to group like items based on some common feature or quality. For example you can have a category called “Plumbers” and give all your service providers who do plumbing this category. Now when you need a plumber you can easily search your service providers by looking in the “Plumbers” category.
The back button should not take you all the way back to the home screen unless the view (you tapped the back button on) was directly launched from the home view. Would you mind telling us where you are experiencing this behavior and providing a few steps?
I love your iphone product! I am an ADD mom with two ADHD kids and, obviously, I need something like your product. I have one (big) frustration though: I can’t integrate my laptop and desktop with it. Am I missing something? The whole system falls down if I use different calendars, etc. when I am working on a computer. Any ideas?

We currently have a desktop app for the Mac called LifeTopix AirAccess (available on the Mac App Store for free) which allows you to managed LifeTopix information on your phone.
We are working on a Windows version targeted for later this summer, and plan to support full desktop and Android versions as well.
When I add a new “task” that I want a “context tag” added to, if I add the “context tag” while creating the “task” two entries are being made with the same description from the task. I end up having to first create the task and save it, reopen the task and add the “context tag” to prevent duplicate entries. Please advise. If you would like to see screenshots for this example, please let me know and I will be happen to submit them at your request.

We need a little clarification — currently, the setting of context tags is not available for a new task until it’s created and saved, since the side panel is not available until the task is created and saved. Wonderful app. Just got started and I love a lot better than Pocket Informant that I was using. I have a sync question. I had the Ipad I was using go bad. I switched to my Iphone until I got my new Ipad. Question: How do I set my new Ipad to my primary device and my Iphone to my secondary device and remove my old Ipad without losing any data? The purpose of designating one of your devices as primary is only important when initially setting up cloud sync. This is because when setting up cloud sync the device you choose as the primary device will be the device whose data will be used to initially populate the cloud, and other devices get that same data to start with. After the initial setup of cloud sync has completed every device becomes equal participants in the sync process. So you could simply setup cloud sync on your new iPad. Make sure to have the new iPad point to the same Online Folder (the parent folder which contains the subfolder LifeTopixSync) as the other devices. Please do NOT do a Cloud Reset on any of the devices, as that’ll delete all the sync data from the cloud. Simply set the online folder and enable sync on the new iPad.
Also, as a precaution, please do an Email Backup from your iPhone (assuming it has the latest data).

Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we do plan to ad “Due” (date only, or date+time) filed to checklists, just like we have for shopping lists and other things. That’ll cause a calendar reminder as well as a notification to pop up. We plan to do this in out 6.1 update in April.

My tasks appear in “Overdue Items” in “Alerts” several hours before they are due. How do I fix this?

Currently items with due dates set in the past up to anytime today will be included in Overdue Items. This was requested by many of our users.
We have added a setting to allow users to determine whether they want to include items with due dates set in the past up to anytime today or to only include items with due dates in the past up until the current time. This setting will be available in our 6.0.1 update which will be available in a week or so.
I love this app! Not only has it help me organize, but given me a placeto track my health data for blood sugars, in one place. my dumb question…I have this for the iphone and have inherited my partners iPad (she upgraded) do I need to buy the app for the iPad? thanks

LifeTopix is an universal app (one purchase allows you to use it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch). You just need to be logged into the same iTunes store account on each device you download it on, and you’ll notice that it’ll say Install or Download instead of Buy.

How do I sync LifeTopix with my Google Calendar?
If you have enabled the Google Calendar on your device Calendar app, you can select it to be included in LifeTopix (Home view, My Calendar view, Events topic view) by opening the filter on the top right of My Calendar, and then making sure the Google Calendar is selected, and tap Done. All its items will show in the views mentioned mixed in with your other date relevant items.
In LifeTopix Settings, you can choose the GOogle Calendar to be the default calendar that LifeTopix writes things into (instead of into the default device calendar).

Do yall have an app that can be shared by my whole family? We have 3 iPhones and 1 iPad between me, my wife, and our 13 yr old daughter.
LifeTopix supports sharing of information in a couple of ways.
If the three of you share the same iCloud account then you can simply turn on iCloud syncing on LIfeTopix (on all three devices) and let iCloud automatically sync the information between all the iOS devices.
If you all do not share the same iCloud account then you can share information in LifeTopix by taking advantage of the fact that information such as tasks, shopping lists and other items can be shared via email. When the recipient opens their email with the LifeTopix information they can tap and hold on the attachment and select to open in LifeTopix. LifeTopix will then be launched and the item imported.
I love what the iPhone app does. I love that the developer enhanced it and it really seems to integrate with iOS data. But when I try using AirAccess on my MacBook Pro…it connects and the data doesn’t sync. And quite frankly, I’m just simply confused as to what AirAccess is supposed to do. In my opinion, it should simply mirror what is already in the device and changes to the data can and should be made on either device.
I also wish the User Interface (UI) were a little more minimalistic for ease of use. For example, I love the “Home” screen on the iOS version. I have a lot of confidence in this developer’s ability to listen to user’s feedback and make positive and swift changes. I took a chance by buying the app. And I realize the app wasn’t too much. But I will stay loyal and continually provide feedback if I know the developer is listening and improvements are going to be made.

You are correct in your understanding of what AirAccess is intended to be. AirAccess provides a simple lightweight interface to access and update LifeTopix data running on an iOS device from your Mac. The data that is visible through AirAccess actually resides on the iOS device that AirAccess is connected to and therefore no syncing is required.
We are working hard to improve and simplify the user experience in LifeTopix and welcome customer feedback as we have benefited so much from having an enthusiastic and engaged customer base.

Please inform me if your app has the ability to sound an alarm when an appointment comes due? Or at a time interval prior to the actual appointment time? FYI I am a new user.
This happens in two ways.
1. A local device local notification is registered for the start time (LifeTopix appointment, project, trip, event) or due time (LifeTopix task, bill) when an item is saved in LifeTopix. This is the built-in iOS notification that pops up for most apps, as well as can be scrolled down from the top of the screen by swiping.
2. In LifeTopix Settings (gear icon accessible from quick menu at bottom left), under My Settings, you can also choose to create an entry on the device Calendar app, and additionally choose a reminder (same day, 1 day before, etc.), so the device Calendar also reminds you.
Both of these make a sound.
Every since the recent update, I have to authorize Dropbox access several times during the back up process. This did not occur prior to the update and I have not made any changes to my Dropbox account.
Thanks for reaching out. We apologize for that defect. If you go to Notes + Files, All Folders, and tap on your backup folder under All Online Folders, it’ll ask you for authentication/authorization, and once you do that, you should not get the authorization prompt anymore while doing backups.
We’ll fix this issue in the next update.
Am new to LifeTopix, but so far like what I see. I don’t know if I have a setting wrong or something on completed tasks. When I mark them complete, they show ‘crossed out’ on the home screen but then not on the calendar view. I like to live in calendar view so I can see my day in terms of calls, appointments, tasks, etc. So would like to get that positive reinforcement of market off tasks on the calendar view. Thanks for reaching out with your comments and the question. If you tap on the filter icon in your My Calendar view (top right, below the + icon), please make sure that “Include Inactive Items” is selected. If not, please tap to check it, and tap Done.

Hi there! Well that was fast! you guys are impressive. So I don’t think I communicated very well on my part. I do have the inactive items included, sorry. But the completed tasks are shown ‘cross out’ on the home view but not crossed out on the calendar view. So it is easy to see what I have left to do on the Home view, but not so easy on the calendar view. Don’t work too hard on this one. would like to see them crossed out on the calendar view, but if it isn’t available, maybe something to consider for the future. Best, Robert
Sorry for jumping the gun earlier. We show completed tasks as crossed out in the Year view of My Calendar. That look does give useful positive feedback, and we’ll implement it for the other views in My Calendar in the near future (Day, Week, Month).
Is it possible to repeat an appointment by day rather than date. i.e. the first and third Wednesday of the month?

This did not help. I had already watched that video. Even to repeat a simple monthly appointment does not work because the choice of day becomes unavailable, i.e. the first Thursday of the month. One can’t set it for 4 weeks because on the month a day occurs 5 times it then throws the scheduling off. There is no work around that I can see unless you would make the day option available when the month option is chosen. If this was available it would be an answer to the first question I asked.
We understand. We’ll extend our scheduling option in an update in the near future to support the case you’ve asked for.

And also select any starting date and view the next 2 weeks

I love, love, love the app, but have encountered a few “glitches.”
1)) I will, occasionally, have the app open with other apps. Sometimes, I get a message that too many resources are running. When I close LifeTopix, this problem disappears.
2)) While trying to update the status of tasks in my task list, the app crashes and closes. This occurs immediately after selecting a task, then selecting to update the status. Once I choose “cancelled” the app crashes.
I’m still learning all the features, but I’d like to tie different things to a contact so I can retrieve history, etc. For instance, I have a journal app that allows me to see all interactions with a contact in chrono order. It also automatically logs emails, texts and phone calls to the contact with date and time. While the content of texts and phone calls has to be manually entered, the date/time “stamp” is really awesome and helps me recall the need to log something.

2. We have fixed the issue of status setting for tasks by touch and hold. If you just tap on the task icon to set the status, or do it via the detail view, it works fine. Please let us know if that is not true in your case.
We are improving the people portion of People + Services in order to do logging and associating information around a person. We plan to do that in the 5.2 update expected before the end of the year.
Hello. My husband and I have been searching for a new tasks app, and are specifically needing something that allows recurring tasks without requiring us to set a reminder alarm. I came across your app and it looks amazing–if it is as wonderful as everyone is saying it is, it is going to save me a lot of search time for other apps!
Here is one thing I need to do and used to do on another app that seemed to stop working when we got our iPhone 5’s: I like to make recurring daily task lists. I have a specific set of tasks I accomplish each morning–a “Morning Routine,” and then an afternoon routine as well as a before-bedtime routine. (Yes, I have small children.) On my previous app, I had each of these as a separate task list and would check each item off as I completed it. At the end of the day, I could click “uncheck all.” All tasks would be retained and I could then begin again the next day. Will I be able to do this (or something comparable) with LifeTopix?

We do support recurring tasks (daily/weekly/monthly/yearly, specific days of week, etc.), but what you are asking for is better accomplished with our Checklists feature (create a checklist, give it a title of Morning Routine, another one called Afternoon Routine, etc., add the specific items to them) in the Notes + Files > All Checklists view. You can add these two checklists to the Hot List view by tapping and holding on them in the All Checklists view, so that they are easily accessible to you. You can check things off, reorder them, etc. You can uncheck all the next day and start again. It gets better in our 5.1 release (targeted for later this month as a free update to existing users). Specifically, we are adding two features in 5.1 that we think are very relevant to your need. 1. A “daily checklist” type “Daily To Do List” that is alway visible in your Home: What’s Next view. You can check things, and the next day, they all get unchecked automatically, ready for the day. 2. We are integrating with the device’s Reminders app for those users that create simple reminders in that app, making those items available in our Home > What’s Next view, as well as our super powerful, unified My Calendar view.
We hope this helps. We have just begun, this app is going to be AMAZING with each update with user feedback.

You can share shopping lists by email — you can email. When you make a list and email it to him, from his email, he can bring that list into LifeTopix. Onc ehe makes changes and emails to you, you can do the same and get his changes to the list (things he checked off, or things he added to the list). You can do it back and forth via email like that. You can also SMS him the shopping list. You can do the same with projects, trips, events, notes. Is there a way to have two calendar? I do not want my daily home chores or projects to appear on my work outlook calendar as it is a shared calendar.
iOS and your device support multiple Calendars. Do you have multiple Calendars configured on your device, such as one for home and one (tied to your Outlook) for work? If so, then LifeTopix supports this. If you go to LifeTopix Settings > My Settings, you will see a field for Default Device Calendar. By setting this to your personal device Calendar as opposed to your work Outlook Calendar, LifeTopix will place items in your personal Calendar.
Hi there. I’m very interested in purchasing your app — I’ve been looking for a good project management app. One feature that is essential for me is multi-level sub-tasks. I can’t seem to find any information as to whether Life Topix has this feature. Could you please tell me if it does?

Currently, our tasks can be grouped into projects (and other things like trips, events, etc.). Tasks can also have categories and contexts, justs like projects.
We do plan to support child tasks and parent tasks in the near future. Our next update coming later this month is 5.0. We’ll most likely support some level of task hierarchy in either the 5.1 or 5.2 update. All updates are free to existing users.
As I have a visual impairment calendar system in which the size of the fonts can be changed to make things easier to see is required for my work. Does your system have that kind of flexibility?
We assume you are asking about the large text feature available on your device via Settings > General > Accessibility. We do not currently observe that setting to alter the size of any text in LifeTopix, but we will add that to a future release as soon as we can.

I would like to be using it more often. Since I am a newbie -
I would like to ask you is there a way to make in my Project — with one of my Task with Sub-tasks.
In other words in my Project there are many different main Tasks and on some of these main Tasks (Top level) I would like to have other connection Tasks which are underneath (Sub level).
If this app does not have this feature — please explain how can use the app regarding these.
Further to see my Errands locations in the Map view — do I always have to be connected with a Wi-Fi or a Network or it is also works in Off-line mode too?
If these features that I have mentioned above are not in the Life Topix can you please put into consideration in adding them in your near future Updates.

We do plan to support task clusters or subtasks — however, we don’t have a concrete timeframe for it yet. We’ll update our roadmap page once we finish our technical planning and analysis and have a timeframe. Having subtasks is very important to our app.
In order for tasks to show up in Near Me, we do require that location service must be enabled and active (it works both in WiFi as well as cellular). We will not be able to provide the current location and the map otherwise, since we rely on the device for that.

Yes I do know this app needs my location service enable and active but it only works with Wi-Fi or Cellular network active.
What I meant was to use this feature Offline without having Wi-Fi spots or Cellular network available (which is also very costly).
It would also be great not to depend on Google maps etc.
I am sure you do know OmniFocus app where one does not need to be online to see their tasks to show up in Near Me. It is more efficient.

We have added a feature request for a future release to allow the user to be able to generate a Near Me view for a location which you specify (versus your current location), and then to be able to export that information so you could view it later while you are offline.

Can the LIfeTopix be used on an IMAC
We have a free app for the Mac called LifeTopix AirAccess that lets you connect with LifeTopix on the device in order to view or manage data more easily.
I’m a new user of the app, I like and slowly start to integrate it into my life. Looking forward to iCloud sync as have a number fo devices.
One thing: I use email a lot for confirmations and receiving important info I need to keep. These come in both plan txt and html. Would be nice to be able to import a message into a note or something similar to include against an entry. Something like this possible and on the rader?

iCloud syncing between devices is indeed coming — in 4.0, in the next couple of weeks or so. It is in final testing stage right now.
The ability to get info from an email or webpage into a LifeTopix note is something we have on the radar. We do not have a specific timeframe for it right now, but once we do, we’ll update Our Roadmap page with the info.
Do you have a date when you plan on having the Mac desktop version ready?
We don’t currently have any plans to develop a full implementation of LifeTopix for the Mac.
AirAccess is our desktop client that is available for free from the Mac App Store. It is designed to address our users’ desire for a mechanism that provides them with a way to wirelessly access LifeTopix on their device so they can use the full screen and keyboard on their Mac to more easily enter large amounts of data.
Hi — I cannot see a way to have appointments repeat. It should be a clear option on the panel for appointments. Perhaps it is and I’m just unable to grasp the method.
The ability to set a repeat schedule for an appointment (as well as for a task and for a bill payment) was added to release 4.0.
We are in final testing of release 4.0 and hope to submit it to Apple in the next couple weeks.
Will this app work on kindle fire?
Not yet — we currently only support iOS devices (iPad, iPhone and iPod touch). We do plan to release LifeTopix on Android in the future (which is what the kindle fire runs) but we do not currently have an exact timeframe for it. As we solidify our plans, we’ll update it on our Roadmap page.
I have just purchased Life Topix.…so far so good seems like the productivity app I have been searching for. I have a question: Why are the holidays listed as double entries on the app when I use the “include Device Calendar” filter, but no holidays with the filter off? I use my birthday calendar and my mobile me calendar on my iPhone 4. Should I only be using the iPhone device calendar instead? Thank you in advance.

Hello– I have the lifetopix app on my Iphone 4, and when I try to email the calendar and tasks to my home email (I have a mac) it opens all in symbols. Do I need to change the format in order to back up the info on my email?
Are you talking about the sharing by email feature? That is meant to be consumed by LifeTopix on another device, and the attachment in the email is an XML file for that purpose (not meant for human readability). The body of the email includes a human readable summary of what is shared via email.
Also, the email backup feature (accessible from the Settings view) also backups the the database in an XML format (not meant for human readability), and is meant to be used for a restore if needed in the future.
