LifeTopix AirAccess™ is a powerful and efficient desktop client that allows you to connect, wirelessly, from your Mac to LifeTopix running on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
The era of mobile computing is upon us. But great strides in the power of portable devices have not been matched by interface advances that allow users to take full advantage of these gains. In fact, as devices become smaller and more mobile, the ability to enter and manipulate information on those devices becomes an even greater challenge. This threatens to undermine the very usefulness of these marvelous little bundles of portability.
Enter AirAccess — a powerful and efficient desktop client that allows you to connect, wirelessly, from your Mac to LifeTopix running on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
NOTE: LifeTopix AirAccess requires LifeTopix on your iOS device to work. It does not store data on the Mac, but rather acts as a convenient remote interface to manage your LifeTopix data residing on your iOS device.

Interesting premise, but too restricting. When you decide to have an OSX and/or Windows client, I’ll be back.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Our current plan is to support Mac, Windows (tablets and PC) and Android devices, with full automatic sync across devices in the future.

Hi
Thanks for such a great app. Keep up the good work.
Currently my problem is that I have entered my assets for insurance purposes but cannot see at a glance the entire listing to check whether I have left anything out or to print it. Is there a way I can export my home and assets data to a file I can view and print, say in Excel or Word, or any other means of achieving what I need to do. If so, kindly provide detailed instructions.
Your assistance with this will be greatly appreciated as it has taken me months to insert the data.
Regards
Rosina Galdes
LightArrow
Hi Rosina,
The All Assets view shows them in one view where you can sort alphabetically or by last update time. But currently there is not a way to export the information. We do plan to add CSV export to asset list view in the future.

Hi, I just started using LifeTopix after using a mish-mash of apps for tasks. I go back and forth between my iMac and my iPhone, so I prefer entering large numbers of tasks on my iMac. I used to use Cozi, but I didn’t like the browser based aspect of entering data. I downloaded Airaccess in the hopes that it would give me a desktop based version of data viewing and entry, but having to turn on wifi and connect makes it rather unwieldy. Are there plans for a more robust Mac app with cloud syncing? (Which would make it like Omnifocus and Things.)
LightArrow
Alex,
We agree — it’d be really helpful to have a full-fledged app on the desktop (with iCloud syncing on the Mac). There is so much we want to do for our users, but we are a small team, and it’ll all take time. We have so far focused on making the app better and more complete on the device. 5.0 was a huge step towards that. We plan to dedicate more time to the other platforms now based on a very high demand from our users. We’ll update our roadmap page with better information over the next few weeks once we make some more progress on the technical work.

I do not see Windows-based AirAccess development on your Roadmap. What is the status? Your post on April 1, 2012 suggested that it was already in the development process. We NEED Windows-based!
LightArrow
We are so sorry for not providing updates. We put a wrench in our plans a little bit with the pending arrival of Windows 8, trying to see if we can do a full-fledged app instead of AirAccess to support both the tablet and the desktop. We will put it in the roadmap once we have a better idea of the timeframe, but we’l update the page to better describe the work we are doing.

Any plans for Spanish language?? I help with traduction, if you want

LifeTopix Support
Hello Carlos,
We do have plans to translate our products to other languages, and Spanish will be high on that list. We don’t have a date for that yet, but we hope to begin working on that soon.
Thanks very much for your offer of help on that!
Best regards,
Team LightArrow.

If you need beta testers for Windows, I volunteer!!!!!! Let’s get this done!
LifeTopix Support
Thank you Ipaddingmomma — we really appreciate the offer! We will take you up on that when the time comes. We have been making progress on our technical assessment and hope to get the Windows support work started this summer.
Best regards,
Team LightArrow.

I just started using the app and I am loving it so far. Will there be any update on the sync feature. It seems that when I set an appointment or task from the iPad or the AirAcess it does show up on my iCal. But if I make a change to the item from iCal it does not update on the App or AirAcess. This seems to be the only downfall as my purpose for getting the app is to be able to have my iPad or iPhone on hand at work to keep track of appointments/notes and so on and to be able to use the AirAcess to type in longer discussions (then sync with app) had with my employees so I can have a reference and follow up. But this is the only app by far that has even given the ability to sync across all of my apple devices so it would be amazing to get the last few bugs fixed.

Hi Joey, thanks so much for the compliments and the issue with the scenario you describe. Currently device calendar entries are updated from LifeTopix, but not vice versa. In 5.0 (due out in June), we are making two improvements: 1. The ability to update the dates on LifeTopix items when the associated device calendar entry is updated. 2. The ability to create LifeTopix items from device calendar entries that are not currently associated with LifeTopix (we show them in My Calendar and What’s Next). We hope that will accomplish what you need.

Any updates on the timeline for a windows version of Air Access?
LifeTopix Support
While we have made progress on this, we don’t yet have a firm date for when we will complete the work. At this point, we anticipate late this summer.

I’d love to see AirAccess for Windows, as well, please! I was just thinking how much more efficient it would be to be able to access my project/task planner on a bigger keyboard and screen. It’s perfect that the data isn’t in two places, or needing to be synchronized, it’s just a better way of accessing it when you aren’t mobile!
LifeTopix Support
We agree. We’ve begun the technical assessment for a Windows version. Once we have a better idea we’ll share a timeline on our roadmap page.

I would love to see a Windows version as well!. It´s a must have for LifeTopics win users
LifeTopix Support
Thanks for your input Carlos.
We have begun the investigation into the technical work required to support a Windows version of AirAccess. Rest assured that this is in our product plans, and we hope to be able to deliver it within the next few months.

Team LightArrow.

I definitely need a windows interface and synch with at least Outlook. Please.
LifeTopix Support
Hi Alan,
We’ve noted your request for a Windows version of AirAccess.
As for sync with Outlook… we do have a future roadmap item to investigate our ability to sync with Outlook directly. In the interim, in case you are not aware, you can sync Outlook with your device Calendar, and then you can view your device Calendar items within LifeTopix by enabling the Include Device Calendar filter option in My Calendar in LifeTopix.
We hope that helps.
Best regards,
Team LightArrow.

I would love to see a Windows version as well!

Is there a chance that there will be a window version of AirAccess in the future?
LifeTopix Support
Thanks for your question Tina.
Since the underlying communication technology used in AirAccess is Bonjour, there is indeed a fair chance that we will develop a Windows-based version of AirAccess some time next year. As with everything, how quickly we work on that will be driven by customer demand so we know where to prioritize it against all the other things we’re working on.
As always, stayed tuned to our roadmap for up-to-date information on what’s coming and when.
Best regards,
Team LightArrow.

Does AirAccess/Lifetopix allow me to attach files from my computer (i.e.,PDF files [Adobe Reader integration]? Microsoft Office documents or iWork documents [Pages, Numbers, Keynote integration]?
Do you plan to integrate with other apps like: Lemon/Shoeboxed (receipts), mint.com, Evernote/Day One, wunderlist?
Do you have iCloud sync now?
LifeTopix Support
Hi Jantzen,
Yes, AirAccess does allow you to attach files from your computer. Here is how you would do that today in AirAccess 3.0:
1. In AirAccess, select Files and Folders in the left-hand panel
2. In the Files and Folders view of AirAccess, click on the up-arrow-in-a-circle to the right of My Documents to bring up a “Select a file to upload” dialog
3. Navigate and select the file you wish to upload to your device, then click “Upload file to LifeTopix device”. The operation will complete and display a dialog confirming that the upload was successful
4. In LifeTopix, to add the file you just uploaded to, for example, a project, tap Tasks + Projects > All Projects, then tap the detail disclosure button (>) next to the project you wish to add the file to
5. From the project’s details view, tap Files, then tap +/- in the title bar to bring up the file picker
6. Select the file you uploaded via AirAccess, then tap Save.
In AirAccess 4.0, we hope to be able to make this all possible via one action so that you can upload from your computer directly to the topic object.
As for integration with other products and services, today, we integrate with a number of 3rd party products and services such as Dropbox, Google Docs, Facebook, Twitter today. Release 4.0 will introduce integration with Evernote notes. We continue to consider other products and services to integrate with based on user demand/request, so we will add the ones you asked about to our list.
As for iCloud sync, that is planned for inclusion in our 4.0 release. Our roadmap simply refers to “device to device sync”, but the underlying technology we are using for that is, in fact, iCloud. We have completed the development work for that and have been in final testing for some time. If you follow any of the Apple news sites or development forums, you may have noticed that lots of folks are reporting that iCloud reliability is very “fluid”. Given how seriously we take our commitment to our users to provide them with a quality experience, we will have to continue to monitor that situation closely in hopes that this underlying technology becomes more stable before the planned submission of our 4.0 release to Apple this month.
Best regards,
Team LightArrow.
