If you to change the repeat schedule for a task in a way that reduces the number of repeat instances, only repeat instances that have a status of Not Started will be deleted.
All tasks within the old repeat schedule that have a status of On Hold, In Progress, Completed, or Canceled will remain visible in the All Tasks and the My Calendar views regardless of the new repeat schedule.

I am struggling with an issue preventing me from using Lifetopix as my only organizational app. I have many repeating reminders/tasks in Lifetopix. When an item is completed and checked off (say on a Monday), the due date “TIME” for the repeated Tuesday reminder changes (date remains the same). Say I have to give my dogs medicine at 12 noon on Monday. That same task on Tuesday changes to 4pm in Lifetopix. In the stock apple reminder app (and my current 3rd party todo app), once the task.reminder is deleted on Monday, the next days reminder immediately appears on Tuesday’s agenda (same due time). Lastly, if I “delete” a repeated task from Lifetopix once completed, the task is deleted from apple reminders and Lifetopix for good. I have to “YES-complete” the task in Lifetopix (a strike-thru appears) and wait to see the task on the next day, and then delete the task (but the time changes). It would be far easier to delete a repeating task in one step and have the repeating item appear on the following day as I have been doing. Thanks for the help.…

Hi Doug,
Thanks for reaching out. We’ll investigate ways to make completed repeat items better — we appreciate the example you’ve given us.

Hi Doug,
In our testing since our last conversation, we could not reproduce the issue with the due date/time for the repeated future task changing when a current task is checked off. Do you mean the time on the calendar entry (that LifeTopix creates) is changing? Do you mind giving us an example where you are seeing this issue?
We tested it as follows — create a repeating task “Give dog medicine” — repeating every day at 6pm for 7 days. When we check off (mark as completed) the instance for today, the dates for the future ones are unchanged as 6pm. Perhaps we are missing a step.
We really want to resolve this issue for you.
Again, we really apologize and promise to fix it asap.
Best regards,

Firstly, thank you for looking into this for all the folks like me experiencing this issue. The time-change issue STARTS with creating a reminder in the stock reminders program (not creating a new task in Lifetopix).
You see, creating a repeating “task” in Lifetopix shows again and again on the agenda view (day after day). Ideally, repeating tasks should only show on the agenda for the next day, not for the next seven days. But I liked the program so much I tried to create a REMINDER in Lifetopix, but Lifetopix reminders can not be repeated, so that option did not work. Neededing a repeating task, but not wanting to to see the same task seven times in my agenda, I went to Apple’s reminders, since repeating reminders work well there. After creating a repeating reminder in Apple reminders, I watched it sync over to Lifetopix with repeating capabilities. That was until the next day. The time would change, like this example from today.
I create a reminder (in the stock apple reminders program) for today January 23, 2013 at 2:05pm. It is now 2:10p and I want to check this task off as being completed. My options in Lifetopix to complete a task are, 1) swipe delete the task…. but if I do this, it will probably delete the task from apple reminders forever (sometimes, not all of the time). Or, 2) tap the reminder in Lifetopix, click YES/COMPLETED and then swipe delete (somewhat redundant). As much as I would “love” to swipe delete a repeating reminder/tasks as a way of “completing” the task like other programs I have tried, I have to choose option 2 and click YES to complete the 2pm task.
The repeating task for January 24th now reads 7:05pm (not 2:05). Go one more day out to January 25th, and the repeating task time is now 12:05AM. A quick look at the Apple reminders shows that my original 2:05 reminder, now reads 12:05AM. Hope that helps.…

Hi Doug,
This is very, very helpful. We’ll have the testers and developers go through these steps and come up with a proposed fix that would work for you.
We are thankful to you for taking the time to explain this to us. We’ll get back to you in a day or so.

Doug,
We have some good news. Thanks to your help, we have been able to reproduce the issue with Reminder app item time changing on future entries, and fixed it. We have also added swipe to complete open items (and swipe completed items to delete) for Reminder app items in LifeTopix. All this will be in our 5.2.1 update targeted for next week submission to Apple.
Best regards.

Wow. Just wow…that you folks fixed this so quickly and because it was causing “one” person a problem. Truly looking forward to the 5.2.1 release to see this in action. Nice job all around.…really, nice job! Thanks to everyone.…Doug
