This topic enables you to manage all your web bookmarks and your online services.
Key features of the Bookmarks topic
- touchpoint to the People + Services topic
Using Bookmarks touchpoints
Touchpoints allow relevant information to be shared seamlessly between Bookmarks and the People + Services topic. Example: You could define access information for services such as your electric utility account directly in People + Services. Via the touchpoint to that topic, the information is also accessible from Bookmarks. Or, you could define the billing and payment website for your ISP account directly in Bookmarks and, via the touchpoint to that topic, the information is also accessible from People + Services.
How do I use Bookmarks?
These sections are available in the Bookmarks topic view:
- Online Services — touchpoint to the Online Services category of services in the People + Services topic
- All Bookmarks — all links to web pages
- Categories for Bookmarks — all LifeTopix bookmarks, sorted by category
Online Services
“Online services” are internet-related products or labor you receive from companies, organizations, or individuals. Web hosting, internet access, and photo sharing are all examples of online services.
Online Services is a touchpoint to the Online Services category in the People + Services topic. This means that online services defined here will appear as services in the Online Services category in the People + Services topic. Tap Online Services to go to its view which contains the following sections:
Online Services:
- If there are no online services defined, this section will contain a button titled Tap to add: Service. Tap that button or tap
in the title bar to define a new service. - If there are online services defined, this section shows all those services, sorted alphabetically by default. Tap Sort to alternate between sorting services by date modified (with the most recently modified one first) and alphabetically by title. Each service includes the service’s name, its service provider, and either its category or update time, depending on which sort mode is currently active. Tap Add in the section header or tap
in the title bar to define a new service. To edit a service, tap it, modify the settings, and tap Save. To delete a service, tap it and then tap
at the bottom of the view.
All Online Services Services: Tap here to view all online services in all categories and subcategories.
Subcategories for Online Services Services: This section shows all online services subcategories, sorted alphabetically. Tap Add in the section header to define a new online services subcategory at this level; tap Edit in the section header to edit, rename, hide or delete the existing subcategories at this level; or tap a subcategory to display the corresponding view for that subcategory.
All Bookmarks

If you have created bookmarks, then all bookmarks are listed, sorted alphabetically by default. Each bookmark includes the bookmark’s display name, URL, and either its category or update time, depending on which sort mode is currently active.
Tap Add in the section header or tap
in the title bar to create a new bookmark. If you do not have network access, enter the URL and tap Save to simply save the bookmark without trying to load the page. (The title of the bookmark will be set to the URL.) If you do have network access, enter the URL and tap Go to load the web page. You can then tap Save to save the bookmark. If the page loads successfully, and the title information was set by the original web page developer, then that information is saved as the title of the bookmark.
When you are creating a new bookmark, if you have network access and you have specified a Search URL in the My Settings section of Settings, then the browser will come up starting at your Search URL. How can I set up bookmarks for items in my iTunes accounts? Ie., podcasts and courses in iTunes U.
LightArrow
Hi RoxAnne,
From My Topics, if you go to the Media topic and then to Media Bookmarks, you can add the relevant bookmarks by tapping the “+” button. You will need to know the URL for each bookmark in order to save it.
Please let us know if you need anything else, or if we misunderstood what you needed.
Best regards,
