    So far so good, regard­ing the finance topic part, i would like to request the abil­ity to add income (salary, busi­ness etc) fea­tures to it and the abil­ity to dis­tin­guish it to a cer­tain bank, as well as a small cal­cu­la­tor tool would be great also. if this where to hap­pen i can finally remove my expense/income tracker app that i have been using.

      Thanks for reach­ing out with such kind words, and your sug­ges­tions. You can cre­ate a bank account to track your income and bal­ance — you can add trans­ac­tions that are either deposits or with­drawals, within the account. You can even use the account as the “source” when you cre­ate an expense, or a pay­ment to some­one, in order to auto­mat­i­cally add a with­drawal trans­ac­tion.
      We do need to make it eas­ier to track income, etc. — and a cal­cu­la­tor sounds like a great idea!

        i guess for what I have in mind is more like a budget/expense tracker fea­tures like check­book HD, i think it would work great with life­topix for exam­ple if I cre­ate a project say land­scap­ing i could then link it to the finan­cial part set a bud­get, add any expense incurred as I go both ideal bud­get and actual cost. Plus link­ing it to peaople+service part is also great. Also if it could show a pie/bar graph on where most of the expenses really went to is a bonus.

          Thanks so much for this!
          The part under Finances now that ties in with Peo­ple + Ser­vices is bill pay­ments. You can set up a pay­ment tem­plate for a ser­vice, or to a per­son, and then add instances of pay­ments as you need, and also set up a repeat sched­ule if needed. Cur­rently, you can add expense under a project, and spec­ify an account as the source for that expense.
          We do plan to enhance the Finances topic with fea­ture sim­i­lar to what you’ve men­tioned. Thank you for the exam­ples!

    What is the diff between pre-create and dynamic in repeats

      Hi,

      Thank you for reach­ing out to us with your question.

      The pre-create option will cre­ate all the instances of the repeated item at once. For exam­ple if you cre­ated a task that is set to repeat every week for 12 weeks then the app will cre­ate all 12 instances of the task and all will be vis­i­ble in the app. The dynamic option will only cre­ate the next instance of the repeated item once the cur­rent one is closed. For exam­ple if you cre­ated a task that is set to repeat every week for 12 weeks start­ing today then the app will only cre­ate the next instance of the task once the cur­rent one has been marked com­pleted or canceled.

    I have been using Daylite for a few years and am now try­ing Life­topix, one of the fea­tures that I have found very use­ful in Daylite is the abil­ity to link emails both to projects and con­tacts. This makes ref­er­enc­ing so much faster.

    Will we ever see this fea­ture in Lifetopix?

      We are adding the abil­ity to extract infor­ma­tion (includ­ing book­marks and attach­ments) from emails (and other sources) into items in the near future as we enhance the Inboxes fea­ture of Life­Topix. It includes the abil­ity to con­vert email info into notes, tasks, projects, trips, etc — as well as append to exist­ing notes.
      Some of that func­tion­al­ity will be part of our 8.0 update (free update), while some “pro level” por­tions of it will be avail­able as a rea­son­ably priced in-app pur­chases.
      We are very, very excited about what we are bring­ing in the 8.0 update!

    Hello,

    First I’d just like to say that (so far) Life­Topix seems like an amaz­ing app! I cur­rently have 36 dif­fer­ent note-taking and pro­duc­tiv­ity apps on my iphone and each is miss­ing some­thing that I really need or want. I hope that Life­Topix will (finally) be the end of my search and will allow me to delete most of them! How­ever, I am find­ing the app sur­pris­ingly dif­fi­cult to mas­ter. I am cur­rently por­ing through the help top­ics but find­ing this to be rather slow and con­fus­ing (any advice appre­ci­ated!). At the moment I have a few ques­tions that I’m hav­ing trou­ble find­ing quick answers to. Can you help? First, does Life­Topix offer rich for­mat­ting (bold, ital­ics, strike through, font size/selection, etc.)? If not, will it in the future?

    Sec­ond, how can I quickly add folders/subcategories within a pre-set topic/category)? For exam­ple, under notes I’d like to add sep­a­rate fold­ers (sub­cat­e­gories) for such things as Per­sonal Let­ters, Form Let­ters, Grad­u­ate School, etc. I can’t seem to fig­ure this out! Also, once you’ve setup one of these sub­cat­e­gories, is there a quick and easy way to move exist­ing notes into it/them? Also…a quick way to entirely delete an entire note?

    Finally, is there a list of alpha­bet­ized help top­ics? This would be SO help­ful for answer­ing silly ques­tions like these!

      Thank you for tak­ing the time to reach out to us.

      We cur­rently sup­port bul­let for­mat­ting as well as tab­bing. We do plan to sup­port rich text for­mat­ting by the end of the year.

      You can man­age cat­e­gories by going to “Set­tings” –> “Man­age Cat­e­gories”. Here you can add sub-categories to your exist­ing cat­e­gories. In the case of note you can actu­ally man­age the cat­e­gories directly from the “Notes + Files” topic. To do this sim­ply go to “Notes + Files” –> “Note” and then set the group­ing (by tap­ping on the down fac­ing arrow) and set to “Cat­e­gory”. After this you will notice the “Man­age” but­ton appears. You can tap on this but­ton to man­age the notes categories.

      We plan to add the abil­ity to sup­port adding items (includ­ing notes) quickly to a given cat­e­gory. We hope to have this fea­ture avail­able in our next major update.

      We do not have alpha­bet­ized help but you can eas­ily search for a topic directly from the app. Sim­ply go to “Help Cen­ter”, acces­si­ble from the left menu bar on the main screen, then tap on “Search LightArrow.com”.

      We had an issue with device cal­en­dars on iOS 6. We have fixed it in 5.0.4 and sub­mit­ted the update to Apple. We hope it’s avail­able to our users early this week.
