This topic enables you to manage all of the personal learning information in your life.
Key features of the Education topic
- ability to track all learning topics, assignments, and education-related information resources
- automatic reminders through integration with your device’s Calendar
- touchpoints to the Shopping, Tasks + Projects, and Notes + Files topics
Using Education touchpoints
Touchpoints allow relevant information to be shared seamlessly between Education and other topics. Example: If you define an assignment here, it will show up automatically in Tasks + Projects. If that assignment requires supplies you need to buy, you can create the list in Education and it will show up automatically in Shopping. Or, if you have education-related resources such as bookmarks and online documents that are defined in Notes + Files, you can access those resources directly from Education.
How do I use Education?
The Education topic view provides these sections:
- Education Notes — touchpoint to the Education category of the Notes + Files topic
- Projects + Assignments — touchpoint to the Education category of the Tasks + Projects topic
- All Subjects — all the education information and assignments you are tracking
- Categories for Subjects — education topics, sorted by category

Categories for Subjects
Categories are available for use with subjects. You can create, modify, hide, or delete categories via LifeTopix Settings or directly from the Categories for Subjects section by tapping the Manage button. When a subjects category is deleted, it is completely removed from LifeTopix. When a subjects category is hidden, it no longer appears in the Categories for Subjects section, but it remains defined in LifeTopix and is still available in the category list when you are defining a new subject. Note that subjects categories that are in use or serve as touchpoints to another topic cannot be deleted or hidden.
To create a new subjects category, tap Add in the Categories for Subjects section toolbar.
To mark a subjects category hidden, or to modify its name or description, tap Manage in the Categories for Subjects section toolbar, then tap the category’s

If there are no subjects and no subcategories defined in that category, help appears in order to get you started. If there are subjects defined in that category, they are all shown in a section whose behavior is described in the All Subjects section above. If there are subcategories defined in that category, they are all shown in a section whose behavior is described immediately above.

Allison
Can I put tasks and reminders for subjects independently from assignments?
LifeTopix Support
Hi Allison,
Yes you can. Assignments in subjects are full-fledged projects (of category Education), and projects allow for reminders, tasks, reminders, media files, shopping, files, notes, quick lists, etc. Subjects also have the same data items (at the subject level).
