This topic is included in LifeTopix and is available as an in-app-purchase in My.Agenda.
Most people find that managing their money can be very difficult, which is why we created the Finances topic. It lets you track all the accounts for all your financial institutions — checking, savings and money market accounts; credit and debit cards; CD’s, etc. It lets you record the recurring bill payments for all the services you utilize and the one-time payments you make to others, and can show you all of these payments in a timeline view. With the Finances topic, you can also create Service Payment Templates for billing purposes — keeping track of the recipient, type of service, amount, and payment type. It lets you track expenses and has touchpoints into other topics so that you can view or edit, for example, your charitable donations, your investments, or your financial research, online services, etc.. The result is the capacity for better money management.
Bring clarity to your financial situation with the Finances topic.

A useful feature would be the ability to print the entire content of an account, including the list of its transactions.
LightArrow
Hi Fernand,
We’ll add this to the roadmap — we do plan to add printing support to more views.

I would like to keep a list of all my credit cards, brokerage, checking and savings accounts in your app. However, I would want that section to “lock” without having to “lock” the entire app. I would also want it to maintain the database of card numbers in an encrypted fashion. I don’t necessarily want to track balances or anything like that — I just want a central place to keep important financial information (including auto insurance policy, 401k and IRA accounts, homeowners policy, etc).
How do I do this with your app?
LifeTopix Support
The ability to passcode lock by topic (in addition to current support for passcode locking the whole LifeTopix app) is a good idea. We have added that as a feature to implement in a forthcoming release, although we are not able to tell at this point exactly which release.
Currently, we encode the following items: passwords for bookmarks, account numbers, security codes, and account PIN. We can encode additional items as requested by users, but at this point encryption is something we have avoided due to a stricter export related approval process. We’ll gladly consider encryption if more users demand it.

I really love the idea of being able to lock certain topics but not the entire app. I would love to lock my notes but not the whole app. Any idea when this will be implemented?
LightArrow
Hi Kim,
We do hope to bring in topic level locking in the 5.1 update, expected around mid September. One of the things we are struggling with is what the impact of locking a topic would be on the common views (My Calendar, Recently Updated, What’s Next, Quick Add etc.) and also on Quick Add — should one be able to still add a note from Quick Add when the Notes topic is locked? We are collecting users’ thoughts on that, and would love to know what you think.
Best regards,
Team LightArrow
Kim
I would like to still be able to add a note in Quick Add, just not be able to access the notes that have already been created. I can see where this takes a lot of thought and I really give you all so much credit for putting this all together and reaching out to the users for additional feedback.
I hope that helps!
LightArrow
Hi Kim,
We hope we have not misunderstood what you meant, but Quick Add (+ icon) allows you to add new notes, and Quick View (eye icon) allows you to see the existing ones in one place. Did you mean something else?
Best regards,

Hi
How do you enter a negative value as a starting balance for a credit card balance?
LightArrow
Hi Archie,
Allowing negative numbers is truly an oversight on our part. We apologize. Our next planned feature release is 5.0 (targeted for June) — we plan to resolve this in that release.
Best regards,

Do you have plans to have mint.com integration?
LifeTopix Support
Hi Jantzen,
On our roadmap, we mention that one of the big things we’re working on is additional integrations with 3rd party services, and that includes the area of finances.
Yodlee provides the account aggregation technology that many financial services offerings out there utilize (Mint.com licensed their backend technology from yodlee, before the Intuit acquisition). We plan to do something similar, but have not yet had the chance to investigate the options or the amount of work involved.
Please stay tuned to the roadmap for further updates as they develop.
Best regards,
Team LightArrow.

It appears all the financial info is a manual update — do you have plans to allow auto syncing uploading of banking balances, transactions etc?
LifeTopix Support
Hi Gary,
We do plan to expand the Finances area with 3rd party integrations. Can you give us some examples of what you’d find the most useful?
Best regards,
Team LightArrow
Gary Pennock
Sure, I would like to be able to sync my checking, credit card and financial accounts. Providing a bill pay service would also be great. Currently I use Mvelopes & Pageonce to track my finances on-line. Having all this information within your app truely would make this the one stop shop. So, when selecting your “Finance” icon I should be able to see updated balances for all my accounts, be able to pay bills from this same location. All my transactions would be uploaded, providing real-time balances. I will not use the finance portion of this app if I have to manually load information.

Thank you, Gary. We do hope to go down the path you have brought up for the Finances topic. Please watch our roadmap over time to see our progress.
