    Do you have a release date for 8.0?

      Hi,

      We will be sub­mit­ting the Life­Topix 8.0 update to the Apple App Store for approval on Mon­day or Tues­day of this week. Apple typ­i­cally takes between 3 — 7 days to approve our app and make it avail­able on the App Store for download.

    I have Life­Topix installed on my iPhone and iPad. The app opens instantly on my iPad but takes almost a minute to load and open on the iPhone. Is there a way to speed it up? It does not have very much info in it yet, as I have just started using it. Also the phone is a 32 GB with a lot of space left on it. If it mat­ters I’m using Drop­box to sync everything.

      Would you mind answer­ing a few ques­tions that will help us under­stand what might be caus­ing the slow­ness on your iPhone?

      1.) Which ver­sion of the iPhone are you using?
      2.) Which ver­sion of iOS are you run­ning on your iPhone?
      3.) Have you tried restart­ing the app?
      4.) After the app loads ini­tially on the iPhone does the app run fine or is it slug­gish?
      5.) Did the app take a long time to load before you enabled sync?

    How do I arrange to have events car­ried for­ward from year to year, such as birth­days and anniversaries?

      Hi Mike,

      Thank you for reach­ing out to us with your question.

      If you set the birth­day field for a con­tact in your iOS Con­tacts app then their birth­days will show in your iOS Cal­en­dar app.
      Since our app can dis­play your cal­en­dar events your contact’s birth­day will show up in our app as well.
      Cur­rently tasks, bills & appoint­ments sup­port repeat sched­ules. We plan to add repeat sched­ules to events as well in a future update.
      This will allow you to cre­ate events (for exam­ple birth­days) native to our app that will repeat every year.

      In our next update we have enhanced the con­tacts topic to present impor­tant infor­ma­tion such as birth­day and anniver­sary in the con­tact’ detail.
      The con­tacts topic view has an alerts sec­tion that will alert you to the fact that a contact’s birth­day or anniver­sary is com­ing up soon.

    It would be great if you could have an option to pull up the Cal­en­der and sim­ply press the dates you want it to recur. My issue is my recur­rent events are incon­sis­tently spaced out so this fea­ture is of lit­tle help.

      Great sug­ges­tion. We do plan to sup­port a sim­i­lar method to choose irreg­u­lar recur­rence dates for a task/appointment in the future — most likely in our March update. Cur­rently we are wrap­ping up the end of Jan­u­ary update which has a LOT of amaz­ing things in it.

    I just got your app and see its great poten­tial. I may have missed this in the instruc­tions, so bear with me. I use reminders to remem­ber to take med­ica­tions and would like to set this as a repeat­ing reminder (as opposed to a task or appoint­ment). Is this pos­si­ble or wii that becom­ing in an update? Or is this fea­ture part of one of the Top­ics avail­able for purchase?

      Hi Bobbi,
      Thanks for get­ting our app and reach­ing out to us! You don’t need any in-app-purchases for what you have asked for. One way to do what you ask for is to cre­ate a recur­ring item in the device Reminders app (which is inte­grated into our app’s Agenda and My Cal­en­dar views). ANother way is to use a check­list in the Agenda view (added as a To Do list), some­thing you call “Daily Med­ica­tion” and check off the ones you take. You will need to use the Clear but­ton in the check­list to clear all items in the morn­ing so that you can check them off again as you go. We plan to enhance that fea­ture to make it auto-clear at the begin­ning of the day, and allow you to see pre­vi­ous days’ entries. Sort of a rolling daily list or weekly list fea­ture. We hope to do that in the next few weeks, and it’ll be part of the free update.

    When set­ting up a repeat­ing event such as a monthly bill, I set the num­ber of occur­rences to 12. Is this a sta­tic 12 or a dynamic one? For exam­ple, I have 12 pay­ments setup for my elec­tric bill. After I enter one, will I then have only 11 pay­ments left or will LT real­ize that I’ve paid one and add another one to my cal­en­dar to bring my total num­ber of future occur­rences back to 12?

      Hi Joe,

      Thank you for reach­ing out to us with your question.

      The num­ber of occur­rences cre­ated when a repeat sched­ule is con­fig­ured is sta­tic. When a repeat sched­ule is con­fig­ured to repeat with 12 occur­rences then when the sched­ule is saved 12 occur­rences are cre­ated for that item and no more unless you recon­fig­ure the sched­ule and re-save.

      The con­cept of a dynamic repeat sched­ule, as you describe, is some­thing we have planned for a future update.

    I am lov­ing this app so far! I was look­ing for some­thing that would help me get and be orga­nized with all aspects of my life and this one does just that. I have found some areas that don’t quite work for me and wanted to make sug­ges­tions that would improve it for my use (and hope­fully oth­ers too).

    The first is the repeat sched­ule. I have a ser­vice provider that requires the 2nd and 4th Tues­day of each month, not a spe­cific date. I’ve also had in the past set meet­ings on the 1st Mon­day of each month. Can you imple­ment these kinds of a cus­tomiz­able options? Exam­ples: For daily recur­rence you select the days as you have now or the option of every x days, with x being a numer­i­cal value entered (every 3rd day). For monthly recur­rence you select num­ber of months but also have the fol­low­ing: Choose the option of spe­cific day (27th) or the option of Every/First/Second/Third/Fourth/Fifth/Last fol­lowed by M/Tu/W/Th/F/Sa/Su/DayofMonth (2nd Wed or Every Sat).

    I am try­ing to use the Notes sec­tion and unfor­tu­nately I can’t edit a note that was already added pre­vi­ously. Is there a way to do that cur­rently or if not, can you add that capa­bil­ity? (I tried using a File instead but haven’t got­ten that work­ing yet, tried USB Disk). Thanks!

      We’d very like to improve the repeat sched­ule func­tion­al­ity to add sce­nar­ios you’ve described. Thank you fo those exam­ples! We’ll hope­fully do that in the next month or so.
      Also, in our 6.0 update (avail­able in a week or so) we have sig­nif­i­cantly improved the free­hand notes func­tion­al­ity. In our notes we sup­port text, free­hand drawing/writing, pho­tos, videos and voice memos. Which part are you hav­ing issues edit­ing?
