Curious about how to utilize the powerful repeat schedule functionality in LifeTopix?
LifeTopix supports powerful and flexible repeat schedules for tasks, appointments and bills.
See how in this instructional video.
I just got your app and see its great potential. I may have missed this in the instructions, so bear with me. I use reminders to remember to take medications and would like to set this as a repeating reminder (as opposed to a task or appointment). Is this possible or wii that becoming in an update? Or is this feature part of one of the Topics available for purchase?
Thanks for getting our app and reaching out to us! You don’t need any in-app-purchases for what you have asked for. One way to do what you ask for is to create a recurring item in the device Reminders app (which is integrated into our app’s Agenda and My Calendar views). ANother way is to use a checklist in the Agenda view (added as a To Do list), something you call “Daily Medication” and check off the ones you take. You will need to use the Clear button in the checklist to clear all items in the morning so that you can check them off again as you go. We plan to enhance that feature to make it auto-clear at the beginning of the day, and allow you to see previous days’ entries. Sort of a rolling daily list or weekly list feature. We hope to do that in the next few weeks, and it’ll be part of the free update.
When setting up a repeating event such as a monthly bill, I set the number of occurrences to 12. Is this a static 12 or a dynamic one? For example, I have 12 payments setup for my electric bill. After I enter one, will I then have only 11 payments left or will LT realize that I’ve paid one and add another one to my calendar to bring my total number of future occurrences back to 12?
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.
The number of occurrences created when a repeat schedule is configured is static. When a repeat schedule is configured to repeat with 12 occurrences then when the schedule is saved 12 occurrences are created for that item and no more unless you reconfigure the schedule and re-save.
The concept of a dynamic repeat schedule, as you describe, is something we have planned for a future update.
I second LB’s Mar 02 suggestion for better specificity of monthly repeating events/appointments. I use this feature very frequently (on my PC) when setting up events. Thanks!
We agree as well! We’ll get it done in the next update or two (6.1 or 6.2).
I am loving this app so far! I was looking for something that would help me get and be organized with all aspects of my life and this one does just that. I have found some areas that don’t quite work for me and wanted to make suggestions that would improve it for my use (and hopefully others too).
The first is the repeat schedule. I have a service provider that requires the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, not a specific date. I’ve also had in the past set meetings on the 1st Monday of each month. Can you implement these kinds of a customizable options? Examples: For daily recurrence you select the days as you have now or the option of every x days, with x being a numerical value entered (every 3rd day). For monthly recurrence you select number of months but also have the following: Choose the option of specific day (27th) or the option of Every/First/Second/Third/Fourth/Fifth/Last followed by M/Tu/W/Th/F/Sa/Su/DayofMonth (2nd Wed or Every Sat).
I am trying to use the Notes section and unfortunately I can’t edit a note that was already added previously. Is there a way to do that currently or if not, can you add that capability? (I tried using a File instead but haven’t gotten that working yet, tried USB Disk). Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out and for the kind words!
We’d very like to improve the repeat schedule functionality to add scenarios you’ve described. Thank you fo those examples! We’ll hopefully do that in the next month or so.
Also, in our 6.0 update (available in a week or so) we have significantly improved the freehand notes functionality. In our notes we support text, freehand drawing/writing, photos, videos and voice memos. Which part are you having issues editing?
