My Apps
Do More. Be More. Live More.
Shortcuts to an Organized Life.

The My Apps view allows you to launch any of your apps directly from your LightArrow app — no more searching for apps or exiting your LightArrow app to locate and launch the apps that you frequently use.

URL Schemes: You can launch your favorite apps by simply setting up URL schemes. The format of the URL scheme is app name://. For most apps, the URL scheme includes the name of the app, such as Yelp://. However, some apps such as Facebook use an abbreviated name. For example, for Facebook the URL scheme is fb://.

You can find URL Schemes for popular apps at:

To set up an app to launch from the My Apps view:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap My Apps from the View Selector and then tap the plus sign.
  2. In the Name field, type the name of the app.
  3. Tap the information icon next to the App Id field – for many apps, all the information is completed after this action is completed. If not, follow the next steps.
  4. In the Launch URL field, type the URL scheme, such as app name://.
  5. In the App Id field, tap the Disclosure button to auto-fill the App Id.
  6. Tap Save.

After you complete the above procedure, the app displays in the My Apps view, and you can launch your app directly from this view by tapping the app and then tapping Launch. If the app does not launch correctly or an incorrect app icon displays, you might need to modify the App Id manually. To find the correct App Id, conduct a Google search. Hint: From the App store, the app id is the number shown in bold in the following example in the URL of the page, such as: (e.g. 399076264 is the App Id).

To modify the app id:

  1. In the My Apps view, tap the name of the app you wish to modify.
  2. Tap Configure.
  3. Modify the launch URL, if needed, in the Launch URL field.
  4. Modify the App Id directly in the field.
  5. Tap Save.

To delete a reference to an app:

  1. In the My Apps view, tap the name of the app you wish to modify.
  2. Tap Clear From My Apps.

Once you’ve launched an app like twitter from the lightarrow dash, can you close out of the app and be taken directly back to your app page in lightarrow. I have only been able to close out all together then have to go back and relaunch lightarrow.

      Hi Stacey,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Once an app is launched from LifeTopix, that launched app has no knowledge of that fact that it was launched from LifeTopix.
So, we are afraid that it is currently not possible to launch LifeTopix after you are done with the launched app. This is a technical limitation with the Apple iOS.

Also, please note that it is possible to quickly switch back to LifeTopix app from the launched app using the following steps:
      1. Double-press the device Home button to show all the running apps.
      2. Scroll to LifeTopix App and tap to launch LifeTopix.

Should you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us again.

      Best Regards,
      Team LightArrow
