NOTE: This help page applies to both LifeTopix (and other classic LightArrow apps) as well as to LightArrow Organizer for iOS and Mac. So, the screenshots and directions may vary slightly based on the app you’re using.

Checklists are multi-purpose items in your LightArrow app. They’re used to remember a list of items that are required for a particular function (such as a packing list for a vacation), things to be done (such as things to do at work), or thoughts to be considered (such as important points at a meeting). Checklists can be used over and over again in your LightArrow app. For example, you can create a packing list for business trips and use it over and over in order to avoid forgetting things when you’re traveling. You can create checklists in many areas of your LightArrow app, but typically you’ll use the Agenda view or the Notes + Files topic to create, modify, and delete your checklists.

How to create a checklist:

  1. In the Agenda View, tap the plus sign in the Alerts & Agenda Checklists section and select New Agenda Checklist (or) in the Notes + Files topic, tap the plus sign and tap Checklist.
  2. Type a name, due date, and comment in the respective sections.
  3. Optionally, tap Tap to show additional info if you wish to add context tags to the checklist.
  4. Tap Tap to add Checklist Item to add items to the checklist.
  5. Tap each item you wish to add to your checklist by typing the text and then tapping Save.
  6. Tap Save to save the checklist.
  7. After you save the checklist, you can add associations to other topic items by opening it, tapping Tap to show additional info, and tapping Associated Topic.

How to modify a checklist or add items to it:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to modify.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. Edit the name, due date, and comment in the respective sections.
  4. Optionally, tap Context Tags if you wish to add context tags to the checklist. (If this tile is not showing tap, Tap to show additional info.)
  5. Optionally, tap Associated Topic if you wish to associate other topic items to the checklist. (If this tile is not showing tap, Tap to show additional info.)
  6. Tap the plus sign to add new checklist items.
  7. Tap each item you wish to modify in your checklist, edit it, and then tap Save.
  8. Tap Save to save the checklist.

How to reorder items in a checklist:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to modify.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. In the Checklist view, tap the Reorder icon (three lines) and choose Reorder Alphabetically to alphabetize the list or choose Reorder Manually to arrange the list manually.
  4. If you choose Reorder Manually, tap the Reorder icon (three lines) and drag the list item up or down.
  5. Tap Done.
  6. Tap Save to save the checklist.

How to copy checklist items, and to move items to a different checklist:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to modify.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. To copy items, in the Checklist view tap the More Actions icon and select Copy.
  4. To duplicate and move items, in the Checklist view tap the More Actions icon, select Copy To, and choose the checklist you wish to copy the item to.
  5. To move items (without duplication), in the Checklist view tap the More Actions icon, select Move, and choose the checklist you wish to move the item to.
  6. Tap Save to save the checklist.

How to check all checklist items:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to modify.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. In the Checklist view, tap the Check icon and confirm.
  4. Tap Save to save the checklist.

How to uncheck all checklist items:

If you wish to use a checklist over and over, you can uncheck all the items at once.

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to modify.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. In the Checklist view, tap the Uncheck icon and confirm.
  4. Tap Save to save the checklist.

How to duplicate (copy) entire checklists:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to duplicate.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. In the Checklist view, tap Actions and then select Copy.
  4. Confirm the copy.
  5. The checklist is duplicated and opened.

How to export a checklist to a comma-separated (CSV) for importing into a spreadsheet:

Sometimes, you might want to export items to a CSV file for further analysis in a spreadsheet.

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to export.
  2. Tap the checklist and then tap Open.
  3. In the Checklist view, tap Actions.
  4. Tap Export and then email the CSV file to an email account.

How to delete a checklist:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to delete.
  2. Tap the Checklist, and then tap Delete.

PRINTING, SHARING, AND DISCUSSING CHECKLISTS

You can print individual checklists, share checklists via email (e.g. for a roommate, family member, employee or colleague) or discuss checklists via social media or SMS. Users who receive a checklist via email can manage it in their LightArrow app.

How to print a checklist:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to print.
  2. Tap the checklist, and then tap Open.
  3. Tap Actions and then tap Print.
  4. A PDF file is created and an alert appears asking if you wish to save the document as a local document. If so, tap Yes; otherwise tap No.
  5. Tap the Share icon at the top of the view and then tap Print.
  6. Print the document to the selected printer.

Note: You can also open the PDF document and save it to an online service, such as Dropbox, by tapping the Share icon and choosing an online service.

How to share a checklist via email:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to share.
  2. In the Checklists view, tap the list you wish to share and tap Open.
  3. Tap Share and then tap Email.
  4. Choose a recipient and then tap Send to send the email.

How to collaborate about a checklist:

  1. In the Agenda View or the Notes + Files topic, locate the checklist you wish to discuss.
  2. In the Checklists view, tap the list you wish to discuss and tap Open.
  3. Tap Share and then tap Post, Tweet or Text Message.
  4. A message displaying, “I’m creating a checklist (checklist name). Any recommendations?” appears.
  5. Modify the message as desired and send it.
  6. If you wish to view the replies at a later time, tap View Replies.
