WHAT CAN I DO HERE?

The Media topic gives you the abil­ity to man­age audio, pho­tos videos, draw­ings, book­marks, ser­vices, and assets. You can orga­nize the audio, pho­tos, and videos you cap­ture on your device, and you can asso­ciate them with related infor­ma­tion in your LightAr­row app.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS

Audio: Audio albums cre­ated in your LightAr­row app.

Pho­tos: Photo albums cre­ated in your LightAr­row app.

Videos: Video albums cre­ated in your LightAr­row app.

Media Ser­vices: Items, such as print, audio, photo, or video prod­ucts or labor you receive from com­pa­nies, orga­ni­za­tions, or indi­vid­u­als, such as Net­flix, news­pa­pers, or mag­a­zines (online or tra­di­tional). A touch­point is pro­vided to the Media cat­e­gory of ser­vices in the Peo­ple + Ser­vices topic.

Media Book­marks: Links to print-, audio-, photo-, or video-related web sites such as Net­flix, news­pa­pers, or mag­a­zines (online or tra­di­tional). A touch­point is pro­vided to the Media cat­e­gory in the Book­marks topic.

Media Assets: Assets that you own that are related to media.Y our flat screen TV, stereo sys­tem, and game con­sole are all exam­ples of media assets. A touch­point is pro­vided to the Media Ser­vices cat­e­gory in the Home + Assets topic

Media Projects: Print-, audio-, photo-, or video–related work items that you wish to accom­plish. Con­nect­ing your new sur­round sound sys­tem and research­ing your next stereo sys­tem pur­chase are both exam­ples of media projects. A touch­point is pro­vided to the Media cat­e­gory in the Tasks + Projects topic

TOUCHPOINTS

Touch­points allow rel­e­vant infor­ma­tion to be shared seam­lessly between Media and other top­ics. For exam­ple, if you define online media sources (such as Net­flix or Shut­ter­fly) or tra­di­tional media sources (such as your New York Times sub­scrip­tion) in Peo­ple + Ser­vices, the infor­ma­tion about those resources is also acces­si­ble directly from Media. Or, if you have defined media-related assets (such as your stereo sys­tem or Apple TV) in Media, the infor­ma­tion about those resources is also acces­si­ble directly from Home + Assets. Or, if you have media-related projects you want to work on (such as con­nect­ing your new enter­tain­ment cen­ter or replac­ing the TV in your liv­ing room), you can define those projects in Media and they are acces­si­ble directly from Tasks + Projects.

CATEGORIES

Cat­e­gories are avail­able the Media topic. You can cre­ate, mod­ify, hide, or delete cat­e­gories via your LightAr­row app.

ALERTS

Alerts dis­play at the top of the Media view for any­thing related to media that are due within the next five days or cur­rently over­due. For exam­ple, if you’ve set a task to pick up your dry clean­ing, it will appear in the Alerts section.

CREATING MEDIA PROJECTS (NEW PROJECT / PROJECT VIEW)

A Media Project is a project for media-related items, such as print, audio, photo, or video prod­ucts or labor you receive from com­pa­nies, orga­ni­za­tions, or indi­vid­u­als, such as Net­flix, news­pa­pers, or mag­a­zines (online or tra­di­tional). In your LightAr­row app, you can asso­ciate sev­eral types of items to projects in order to effi­ciently plan them, and to orga­nize them in a way that you can eas­ily find the infor­ma­tion that you need. For exam­ple, you can asso­ciate tasks, check­lists, appoint­ments, expenses, shop­ping items, files, and other items.

CREATING AUDIO AND AUDIO ALBUMS

You can orga­nize your audio items within albums. After you cre­ate an album, you can tap the album, and then tap the plus sign to add an audio item to this cho­sen album.

How to add an Audio Album:

  1. Tap the Media topic.
  2. Tap the Audio tile and then tap the plus sign.
  3. In the New Audio Album view, tap the Name field and then tap a name.
  4. Tap Save.

CREATING PHOTOS AND PHOTO ALBUMS

You can orga­nize your pho­tos within albums. After you cre­ate an album, you can tap the album, and then tap the cam­era icon to take/select a photo and add it to this cho­sen album.

How to add a Photo Album:

  1. Tap the Media topic.
  2. Tap the Photo tile and then tap the plus sign.
  3. In the New Photo Album view, tap the Name field and then tap a name.
  4. Tap Save.
